Cronos: The New Dawn (Game)
Genre and Story: This is a third-person survival horror game from developer Bloober Team and publisher Skybound Games. You play as a "Traveler" from a brutal, post-apocalyptic future, working for an organization called "The Collective." You must scour the wasteland for time rifts that transport you to 1980s Poland to extract key individuals before a cataclysmic event known as "The Change".
Gameplay: You can use melee combat and firearms like pistols and shotguns to fight off grotesque enemies. A key mechanic involves "harvesting" the souls or essences of key people from the past, which can enhance your combat abilities but also threatens your sanity. If you don't properly dispose of enemies with fire, they can merge with other corpses to become more powerful monsters.

Cronus Zen (Controller Emulator)
Purpose: The Cronus Zen is a device that allows gamers to use almost any controller—including PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch controllers—on any console. It also enables the use of keyboard and mouse for console gaming.
Performance-enhancing "mods": The Cronus Zen is well-known for its "GamePacks," which provide in-game scripts or "mods." These can include features like anti-recoil, rapid-fire, enhanced aim assist, and macros for specific button sequences.
PS5 compatibility: As of 2025, the Cronus Zen is compatible with the PlayStation 5, but it requires the Cronus ZenLINK Wi-Fi Expansion Module to connect wirelessly. An older method required a specific PS4 controller for PS5 games.
Controversy: The device is considered by many to be a form of cheating in competitive multiplayer games because its performance-enhancing scripts provide an unfair advantage over players using standard equipment. PlayStation has implemented some measures to block the device, though users continue to find workarounds.
