Doom: The Dark Ages is a single-player action FPS prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, set in a medieval, techno-infused world where the Doom Slayer battles Hell's forces. The game features a more grounded and strategic combat system, emphasizing melee combat and a new shield saw mechanic for blocking, parrying, and attacking.
